The Baxter County sheriff’s office says a 38-year-old woman faces a first-degree murder charge stemming from the shooting death of her boyfriend.
A news release Friday from the sheriff’s office said the body of 43-year-old Antonio Sanchez III was found Thursday morning at a home where he lived with Rhonda Jean Clark. The deputies were responding to a call from a co-worker of Clark who said Clark had come to work that morning claiming that her boyfriend had committed suicide.
The release said evidence at the home, including a rifle believed to be the murder weapon, indicated that Sanchez’ death was a homicide, and Clark was arrested.
The news release said Clark was being held Friday in the Baxter County Jail at Mountain Home in lieu of $1 million bond.
