Anniversaries

— Clemmie and the Rev. Jim Edwards will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cabot First Baptist Church. The couple were married Dec. 4, 1960. Mrs. Edwards, the former Clemmie Nell Johnson, is a retired secretary. Edwards is a retired Baptist minister. They are the parents of Jimmy Edwards of Madison, Miss., and Tim Edwards of Bradford. The couple have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Linda and Edward Brucks of Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 20 at Embassy Suites. The couple were married Nov. 26, 1960. Mrs. Brucks, the former Linda Sue McNatt, retired from Centers for Youth and Families and is currently employed by Arkansas State University. Brucks retired from Chicopee Manufacturing Co. and Johnson & Johnson. They are the parents of Michael D. Brucks of Jefferson, Robert A. Brucks of Hensley and Christopher E. Brucks of Collierville, Tenn. The couple have three grandchildren.

MORRILTON - Jeannene and Ray Ellis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception at Downtown Church of Christ. The couple were married Nov. 24, 1960. Mrs. Ellis, the former Jeannene Ring, is a retired reading specialist for Morrilton Public Schools. Ellis is a retired personnel manager for Tyson Foods in Russellville. They are the parents of Mrs. Ranell Edwards of Bentonville and the late Jon Raymond Ellis of Norman. The couple have five grandchildren.

Joy and Rush Hogue of Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 12, 1960. Mrs. Hogue, the former Joy Burns, is a retired courtroom deputy clerk for the U.S. District Courts. Hogue is a salesman for H.E. Engineered Equipment Co. They are the parents of Kevin Hogue of Maumelle, Scott Hogue of Little Rock and Konnie Hogue of North Little Rock. The couple have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

MELBOURNE - Erma and Howard Moore will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends. The couple were married Dec. 24, 1940. Mrs. Moore is the former Erma Williams. They are the parents of Joan Harris Heuer of Lake Lotawana, Mo.; Diane Langston, Wayne Moore and Stuart Moore, all of Melbourne; and the late Harold Moore. The couple have nine grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Mary and Bill J. Magby of Sherwood will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 30, 1950. Mrs. Magby, the former Mary Gunter, retired from Haverty’s Furniture. Magby retired as a self-employed plumber from Magby Plumbing Co. They are the parents of Maribeth Magby of Sherwood, Mark Alan Magby of Atlanta and William Michael Magby of Knoxville, Tenn.

MALVERN - Loretta and Raymond “Pete” Hughes will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday with a reception at North Malvern Assembly of God Church. The couple were married Dec. 1, 1950. Mrs. Hughes is the former Loretta Galloway. Hughes is retired from Arkla Gas Co. They are the parents of Kim Shipp and Britt Hughes, both of Malvern. The couple have one grandchild.

Sue and Bill James of Mabelvale celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 20 at First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale. The couple were married Nov. 24, 1960. Mrs.James is the former Sue Turner and a beauty operator at Bill’s Barber & Beauty Service. James is a barber at Bill’s Barber and Beauty Service. They are the parents of Steven James of Bauxite, Mitch James of Benton and Michelle Staton of Little Rock. The couple have 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

MALVERN - Ruth and Ray Liebau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at The Vienna Theatre. The couple were married Nov. 25, 1960. Mrs. Liebau, the former Ruth McLester, is a retired registered nurse. Liebau retired as a professor of music from the University of Mississippi. They are the parents of Karl G. Liebau of Melbourne, Fla., and Katherine L. Hall of Forney, Texas. The couple have one grandchild.

WHITE HALL - Lena and Havis Case will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Dec. 4, 1960. Mrs.Case is the former Lena Porterfield and a writer for Bogard Press, Texarkana. Case is a retired accountant from Entergy and coal yard supervisor at White Bluff. They are the parents of Debbie Guimon of St. Louis, Marilyn Cook of White Hall and the late Linda Sadler. The couple have nine grandchildren.

BRADFORD - Loretta and Howard Taylor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Dec. 4, 1960. They are the parents of Linda Yoakum, Kathy Boedeker and Sarah Weaver.
