SLOAN CLAIRE JOHNSON BENJAMIN TYLER MILTON

— St. Edward Catholic Church was the setting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, for the marriage of Sloan Claire Johnson and Benjamin Tyler Milton. Deacon Joe Milligan of Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Paula and William Brocton Johnson of Maumelle. She is the granddaughter of the late Betty Sue and George L. Brink of Little Rock and the late Ravenal and Jerry Monroe of Prattsville.

Jeaneane and Larry Carlton Milton of Aledo, Texas, are the parents of the bridegroom. He is the grandson of Jeanne and Roy Grogan of Weatherford, Texas, and Kenneth and the late Elouise Milton of Fort Worth.

Nuptial music was by organist Phillip Quick.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a light gold and champagne slim A-line gown embellished with floral motifs on a tulle lace overlay. A matching floral hairpiece secured her champagne-colored fountain veil. She carried a rounded bouquet of ivory hydrangeas, garden roses and cymbidium orchids.

Maid of honor was Taylor Amelia Johnson of Fayetteville, sister of the bride. She wore a strapless short golden charmeuse dress with a ruched waistline.

Bridesmaids were Katy Michelle Frederick of Fayetteville; Katherine Mavis Griffith of Dallas; Jacqulyn Dee Ingram of Memphis; Natalie Grace Joy, Patricia Ann Joyce and Chris Cara Vericella, all of Oxford, Miss.; and Gina Nicole Vericella of Bloomington, Ill. Junior bridesmaid was Meredith Elouise Milton of Aledo, sister of the bridegroom. They woreshort persimmon-colored satin dresses with pleated bodices and ruched waistlines. They all carried small bouquets of magenta stock, orange roses and golden yellow button chrysanthemums.

Brian David Lukehart of Chicago was best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Haralson Compton, Fort Worth; Michael Finn McCool of Abingdon, Va.; Robert Lamar McGregor of Washington; Jonathan David Place of New York; Matthew Kasey Ratliff of Dallas; and Spencer Maillot Van Kirk of New Bern, N.C.

Guests were seated by Brandon Derrel Luce and James Joseph Mongaras, both of Dallas.

A reception in the Junior League of Little Rock Building’s ballroom followed the ceremony. The buffet held an elevated arrangement of wedding flowers in shades of dark orange, magenta and golden yellow. Guest tables alternated centerpieces of large rounded arrangements in clear vases, and low containers filled with orange, magenta and golden flowers. Music was by the 1-900 Band from Memphis.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science from the University of Mississippi at Oxford where she served as philanthropy and social chairman of Pi Beta Phi. She is a substitute elementary school teacher.

The bridegroom has a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., and a juris doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio. He is a lawyer with Dawson, Sodd, Ellis & Hodge LLP.

The couple will live in Dallas after a honeymoon on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
