Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Heaven became a little sweeter as PEGGY LYNN WILLIAMS of Little Rock, Ark., aged 57 years, went home. She was preceded in death by many family members and loved ones. She will be missed greatly by those she left behind. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. at Crosspoint Church, Ferndale, Ark.

BENTON - Leola Elizabeth Anderson Hagerman, age 94,passed away on Nov. 27. She was born on Aug. 18, 1916, in Montgomery County near Mount Ida, Ark. She was the eldest child and daughter of Smith Wheeler and Bell Zora (McGough)Anderson. She spent her early years in Mount Ida until her family settled in Lonoke County in the early 1930s. She graduated from Keo High School in 1936, and was the last survivor of her class. She received her teaching certificate in 1941 and received her bachelor’s in education from State Teachers College in 1959. She began teaching at RedwineCommunity School in 1941. After five years, she transferred to England, where she taught until 1958. She then taught for one year at Lynch Drive in North Little Rock. She also taught at Wilson School in Little Rock and finished her career at Romine Elementary, retiring in 1970. She was a wonderful teacher for 27 years, 18 of which she taught first grade. In 1936, she married William Thomas Hagerman from the England area. They spent 25 years in the Keo, England, and Toltec area. They moved to Little Rock in 1961 and then to North Little Rock several years later. After her husband’s death in 1976, she moved back to Little Rock in 1977 where she lived until 2007. She spent her last several years in Saline County.She lived at Benton Residential for two years, and during her last three months she resided at Heartland Rehab and Nursing home. The family is very grateful for the exceptional staff and loving care at these two outstanding facilities. She was a faithful member of the Little Rock Seventh-Day Adventist Church for almost 50 years. She was a wonderful, caring mother and grandmother, a loving sister, a sweet aunt, a thoughtful neighbor, and a loyal and endearing friend. She was an immediate friend to anyone she met, and a generous and genuinely caring and giving person. She was known for making phone calls and sending cards, and helping others in need. This was her ministry and many people were blessed by her generosity and kindness over the years. She is survived by: her daughter, Elizabeth Burnett and husband Phillip; her granddaughter, Cheryl Burnett;her grandson, Clay Burnett and wife Mitze; her brother Darrell Anderson and wife Robbie; her brother Clinton Anderson and wife Joyce, and sister-inlaw Anna Anderson, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Anderson. Visitation will be held prior to the service today, Monday, Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home at 8801 Knoedl Court, (NW Corner of I-630 and Barrow Road) Little Rock, Ark., 72205. HEBER SPRINGS - Paul R. Peevey, 86, WWII U.S. Navy veteran and retired law enforcement officer with over 40 years of service passed away Saturday in Little Rock, Ark. He served as a United States Marshall, a chief deputy sheriff of St. Francis County and with the Forrest City Police Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, Ark. Mr. Peevey was preceded in death by his wife Clydella Peevey, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors: son Robert Paul Peevey (Karen) of Jonesboro, Ark., brother Jim Peevey of Baton Rouge, La., two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. PINE BLUFF - Rose “Mee Maw” Aureli Cole, 86, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born April10, 1924, in Pine Bluff, daughter of Secondo and Elvira Massanelli Aureli. Ms. Cole was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She worked at Dillard’s Department Store for 36 years, where she retired as a department manager. After retiring from Dillard’s, Rose worked for Churchill's Coffee in Pine Bluff for five years and was currently working for Chapel Hardware and Garden Center. Ms. Cole was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She touched many hearts and made a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vera Jeanette Merritt; her parents; brothers, Frank Aureli, Robert Aureli, Mack Aureli, Peter Aureli; and sisters, Mattie Marconi and Alda Magnini. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Jane Mayhan of Pine Bluff, and son-in-law Randy Merritt of Heber Springs; four grandchildren, Rhonda Sutterfield, Craig Mayhan, MicheleKing and Ashley Stanley; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Josephine Tomboli of Little Rock and Virginia Reginelli of Lake Village; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father L. Warren Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. A rosary service will be Monday evening at 5 p.m. with a visitation following until 7 p.m. at Robinson’s. RISON - Bernard Eads, 81, of Rison died Friday at Rison. He served this country in the Navy. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. He served in the United States Army. He leaves behind his beloved family, including his loving wife of 51 years Wencie, sons Scott, Lance and Bart, brother Bill, sisters Alice and Lela Mae, five grandchildren and numerous other family members.
