in bank robbery

Police in Little Rock say they are looking for two suspects after an early-afternoon bank robbery at 2922 South University Ave. on Monday.

Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said that at 12:41 p.m., a 5-foot-8-tall black man weighing 180 pounds and wearing dark pants and an army-green plaid jacket walked through the doors at the Centennial Bank branch on South University Avenue.

The man gave a teller a note that said he had a gun and that he wanted her money.

Even though the man did not show his weapon, Hastings said, the woman complied and gave the man an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect ran out the south entrance of the bank and fled north on foot.

Hastings said that the suspect was joined by another man after he left the bank.
