TV host’s speech in LR relocated

— Today’s scheduled speech by Adam Richman, host of the Man v. Food cable television program on the Travel Channel, has been moved from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service to the Robinson Center Music Hall.

Officials moved the site of the lecture because the speech was attracting a large audience.

Robinson Center is at Markham Street and Broadway, near the Doubletree Hotel, along downtown Little Rock’s Statehouse Convention Center plaza area.

Richman’s talk is set from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. He will discuss what he’s learned about food as he travels around the country. That’s the topic of his book, America the Edible: Why We Eat, What We Eat, Where We Eat. The book explores the ethnic, economic and cultural factors that shape people’s eating habits and how food reflects American culture.

Admission is free, and the public may attend. Reservations are available by e-mailing publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.eduor calling (501) 683-5239.
