Clinton returning to Arkansas to help Democrats

Former President Bill Clinton is campaigning in east Arkansas next week for fellow Democrats in his home state.

The Democratic Party of Arkansas on Friday announced that Clinton will be in Jonesboro on Wednesday to campaign for Sen. Blanche Lincoln, Democratic congressional hopeful Chad Causey and other Democrats.

Lincoln is seeking a third term and considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents in Washington this year. Causey is running for the 1st Congressional District in a tough race against Republican Rick Crawford.

Causey and Crawford are seeking a seat currently held by retiring U.S. Rep. Marion Berry, a Democrat.

This is the second general election campaign visit Clinton’s made to Arkansas. Clinton campaigned for Lincoln, Causey and Democratic congressional hopeful Joyce Elliott in Little Rock last month.
