LITTLE ROCK — A 25-year-old man died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Hot Springs, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police fatal-accident report.
About 3 a.m., Geoffrey Bruce Gatliff of Hot Springs was driving a Ford Crown Victoria north on Central Avenue when he lost control at Crestwood Street and drove onto the sidewalk, the report said.
The car then stuck a metal gate, went airborne and overturned several times, the report said. Gatliff was thrown from the car, which then caught fire, the report said. He died at the scene.
