USDA seeks dismissal from Ark. schools lawsuit

The federal government wants a judge to dismiss the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an involuntary plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by supporters of a northeast Arkansas school district that’s been consolidated with a neighboring district.
In a court filing this week, the U.S. attorney’s office argues that Friends of the Weiner School District haven’t obtained a court order allowing them to add the USDA as an involuntary plaintiff. The district sued the state, arguing that the closure of rural schools threatens the country’s security and food supply.
The state ordered the closure of the Weiner School District, which was merged with the Harrisburg School District on July 1.
On Sept. 15, a federal judge will consider whether to grant an injunction that says Arkansas’ 350-student minimum for public schools is unconstitutional.

Sounds like a form of "redlining" to me. Drawing lines by numbers, "financially" speaking, to prevent a loss if you are in business to make a profit. Question is, who profits from this, the state or the families involved.
