Arkansas motorcyclist hits bear; both survive

EUREKA SPRINGS — Both a bear and a motorcyclist have survived an encounter on a Carroll County highway.

Fayetteville television station KHOG said a motorcycle collided with a bear in the Lake Leatherwood area Sunday afternoon.

State Police said the bike landed in a ditch, the bear ran away, and the biker was not hurt. The motorcyclist was not identified.
