Car seen leaving church burglaries found

LITTLE ROCK A Little Rock man has been arrested Wednesday after police found him with a stolen Toyota Camry tied to a string a church burglaries.
Dedrick Williams, 30, is facing a preliminary charge of theft by receiving for purportedly possessing the stolen vehicle, which was taken Friday from 1869 S. Gaines St. and then spotted leaving the scene of one of the five burglaries.
Williams has not been charged with any of the break-ins. Little Rock Police Department Lt. Terry Hastings said those incidents remain under investigation and that Williams has not been eliminated or confirmed as a suspect.
The churches - New Hope Baptist Church, Cross Street Christian Church, Old Landmark House of Prayer, Union African Methodist Episcopal Church and Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church - were all burglarized within a few hours early Monday morning. In one break-in, the burglar took more than $2,400 in collections
Williams was arrested about 3 a.m. when officers near 12th and Woodrow Streets spotted the stolen Toyota parked at an E-Z Mart gas station.
