— An 18-year-old Conway man fatally shot a 20-year-old Wynn man after an altercation Friday night in Conway, police said.

Torian Tolbert was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with first-degree murder, according to a Conway Police Department news release.

Investigators say Tolbert shot Quvondo Evans in the neck, abdomen and feet after the altercation at the corner of Gum and Garland Streets. It happened around 6 p.m.

A friend drove Evans to Conway Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 6:30 p.m., police said.

It was not immediately clear what started the altercation between the two men.

Tolbert is being held without bond at the Faulkner County Detention Center.

It's a pretty simple fix. Commit a violent crime with a gun and you get to be placed in the express lane for the death penalty. Nobody really fears prison too much anymore because it's too easy on them.

It may not be a deterrent for all, but it's certainly a deterrent for one.

from the recent headlines it seems the City of Conway is trying to catch the City of Little Rock in violent crimes category and crime in general! If the City,Couty,State police can't keep the troublemakers from Pine Bluff and Little Rock out of town, then be prepared to lose a whole bunch of College students,If the boys from the hood want to play with guns then let the police play with them,I have a college student there and he won't be there long if Conway et al can't protect its residents,College students have died and Conway residents have died,
Life should not be like that in a College Town.
