Governor’s appointments

— Gov. Mike Beebe announced the following judicial appointments last week:

Susan Hickey, El Dorado, as circuit judge, 13th Judicial District. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2012; she replaces Carol Anthony.

Howard Yates, Morrilton, as Conway County district judge. Appointment expires Dec. 31, 2012; he replaces Scott Adams.

Beebe also announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:

To the Health Services Permit Commission: Nina Alter, Hot Springs, reappointed; Breck Hopkins, North Little Rock, reappointed; Michael Morton, Fort Smith, replacing Leon Catlett; and Dewery Watkins, West Memphis, replacing B.G. Hendrix. Appointments expire April 9, 2014.

To the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Licensing Board: Alan Dean, Camden, reappointed; and Charles Ledbetter, Fordyce, replacing Michael Scott. Appointments expire June 30, 2014.

Terry Henson, Benton, to the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System board of trustees. Appointment expires Jan. 1, 2012; he replaces James Henson.

To the Sex Offender Assessment Committee: Ron Kincade, Mountain Home, replacing Lona McCastlain; and Derrick Threadgill, North Little Rock, replacing Betty Ahmad. Appointments expire July 1, 2014.

Kent Moore, Rogers, to the Arkansas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Appointment expires June 9, 2015; he replaces Vinton Savelle Barnes.

To the Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Promotion Board: Michael Richardson, Holly Grove; Stewart Weaver, Proctor; and Keith Woolverton, Pollard. These reappointments expire July 1, 2012.

To the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board: Jim Carroll III, Brinkley, reappointment. Shannon Davis, Bono, replaces Dennis Haigwood; Andrew Oliver, Marion, reappointment. These expire June 30, 2012.
