LITTLE ROCK — Winnie and Robert Tice of Little Rock have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 22, 1940. Mrs. Tice, the former Winnie Kennedy, is retired from Westinghouse. Tice is retired owner of Tice Landscaping and Tree Service. They are the parents of Robert Tice Jr. and James Tice, both of Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
ARKADELPHIA - Reta and Roy Joe Williams celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Sept. 16. Mrs. Williams, the former Reta Wilson, is retired from Vasserete and Harvest Foods. Williams is retired from the Postal Service. They are the parents of Jeanne Bobo of Fort Smith and Julie Woolf of Arkadelphia. The couple have three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
MABELVALE - Peggy and Royce Grable of Mabelvale celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 18 at Fisherman’s Wharf in Hot Springs. The couple were married Sept. 21, 1950. Mrs. Grable, the former Peggy Smith, retired from Arkansas Pathology. Grable retired from Taylor Impressions. They are the parents of Sandra Parrish, Gina Grable and Lisa Strain, all of Bryant. The couple have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
RISON - Lynda and Tom Butcher recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at Rison Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The couple were married Aug. 27, 1960. Mrs. Butcher, the former Lynda Marie Brewer, was employed as a contract poultry producer for Tyson Foods and worked as a reading aide at New Edinburg and Rison schools. Butcher retired as an ASCS County Director from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. They are the parents of Pat Cooper of Athens, Ohio, and Lynn Wilson and Butch Butcher, both of Rison. The couple have 10 grandchildren.
