Wildwood Park’s Wine and Food Festival benefits Art to Go! school tour

— Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts was transformed into a wine and food lovers’ paradise Sept. 17 at its 13th annual Wine and Food Festival.

Tables with red and white checked cloths and Chianti bottle candleholders provided a place for guests to sit and enjoy gourmet food and sample tastes from a selection of 150 fine wines. The Meshugga Klezmer Band provided entertainment in the backstage area and Itinerant Locals, a polka band, provided grapestomping music in the garden. Guitarist Michael Carenbauer entertained in the lobby.

Serving up tasty dishes for guests to enjoy were 15 central Arkansas chefs, including Lulav’s chef Lewis Curtis, a contestant on this season’s Hell’s Kitchen.

The evening also included a silent auction and a winecork pull. Proceeds from Wine and Food Festival will help support Wildwood’s statewide educational touring production, Art To Go!
