DAVID ALLEN BEASLEY, 37, of Little Rock went to be with hisSavior Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. He was born March 20, 1973, to Jerry and Joy Beasley. David was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He enjoyed life to the fullest, died without regrets, and longed to spread the message of Christ to the world. He was a graduate of Arkansas Baptist High School, the University of Arkansas, and Baylor University, and an active member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Don Beasley; grandparents, Sterling and Katie Lee Beasley, and Eula Lee Gross. Cherishing his memory are his wife of seven years, Sabrina Joyce Beasley; his children, Benjamin Robert, 2, and Katherine Joy Beasley, 3 mos.; mother, Joy Beasley; sister and brother-in-law, Jerra and Andy Hollinger. A celebration of David’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, 7351 Warden Road, Sherwood, Ark. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service in the Sylvania Cemetery near Cabot. JACK THOMAS CARTER, 76, of Little Rock, Ark., entered intoeternity with the Lord Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. He was born Sept. 10, 1934 in Memphis, Tenn. Jack graduated from the University of Tennessee with an Electrical Engineering degree. He moved to Little Rock, Ark. in 1959 as a sales engineer for Honeywell Corporation. He joined Immanuel Baptist Church soon thereafter, where he met and married the love of his life, Mary Winston, of Newport, Ark. Jack began working for Turner McCoy Mechanical Contractors until 1970, when he established Jack T. Carter Company, a distributor for HVAC equipment. He faithfully led and worked in this family business up until a few days before his death. He was pleased to see all four of his sons work with him in the company. Jack was a memberof Immanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years, serving as a Deacon for almost 35 years, a Sunday school teacher, RA’s leader, and on numerous committees during that time. He served our country in the Armed Services for seven years, concluding with the rank of Captain in the Air National Guard. A registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arkansas, he was a lifetime member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and served as Area Director for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) early in his career. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he left a legacy of faithfulness, integrity and devotion to His Lord and his family. He was preceded in death by his son Todd A. Carter; his parents, Jack R. and Sarah Carter; and a sister, Betty Smith. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Winston Carter; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tessa Carter of Rogers, Mark and Laura Carter of Little Rock, John and Christa Carter of Knoxville, Tenn., Brenda Carter of Little Rock; and 13 grandchildren, Madison and Chloe Carter of Rogers, Jacob, Matthew and Tyler Carter of Little Rock, Michael, Katherine, Leslie and Ashley Carter of Little Rock, Craig, Kyle, Mary Claire and Sarah Anne Carter of Knoxville, Tenn. BILL GAINES of Little Rock passed away on Friday, Sept. 24,2010, at the age of 81. He was born Feb. 13, 1929, to William Christopher Gaines and Cordia DuBose Gaines of Searcy, who preceded him in death. Bill grew up in Searcy and graduated from SearcyHigh School in 1947. Bill entered the United States Army and served honorably in the Korean War. After returning to Arkansas, he joined Fones Brothers Hardware and Furniture Company, where he met his future wife, Alma Lindsey Gaines. They were married on Aug. 18, 1956, and four years later were blessed with the birth of their only daughter, Kay. Bill continued working in the furniture industry as a manufacturer’s representative for many years, eventually leaving that field to become business manager for his wife, who was a National Sales Director and the 33rd sales consultant in the history of Mary Kay Cosmetics.He was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 60. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alma, daughter Kay Gaines Stebbins and her husband Robert, all of Little Rock. Bill will always be “Grandy” to his beloved granddaughters Laura Lindsey Stebbins and Anna Caroline Stebbins, also of Little Rock. He is also survived by his sister Wanda Sue Teague and her husband, Gene, of McCrory, as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Griffin Leggett Healy and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St. in Little Rock. AMANDA L. GRAYSON, 54, departed this life on Sept. 25 after avaliant fight with breast cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Larry T. Grayson; her dear mother, Pauletta L. Rossi; sister and brother-in-law, Amy Rossi and Joe Bryan; andbrother, John Paul Rossi. She took pride and joy in her surviving nephews and great-nephew, Nathan and Nicholas Bryan and Trevor Rossi, and son, Hayden. She also loved her niece, Julia Grayson Hamra, and nephew, Brian Grayson. Her two lifelong “sister-friends,” Carolyn Oates and Dinah Henderson, will continue to celebrate Mandy’s life and enduring friendship. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Rossi; and her grandparents, John and Katie Rossi and Paul and Alva Snow. Mandy was raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas and was an all state cheerleader in High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She worked for PGI/ Chicopee since she was 19 years old, retiring as Human Resources Manager in 2009. Although illness kept her from attending her retirement celebration, the companies’ employees prepared a love gift of mementos and letters of affection which she treasured. Mandy never met a stranger and loved to makefriends with the clerks at her favorite shopping venues. A die-hard Razorback fan, she had the best seat in the house to watch the Saturday Shoot-out. Throughout her life she was known for her positive outlook, her good humor, her caring spirit and her great faith. Always a dog owner, Bailey and Rudy have been her two cherished pets. No words are adequate to say how she will be missed. The family expressly thanks her doctor, Dr. Laura Hutchins, and special nurses, Cathy Brants and Donna Waterman, for their loving care of Mandy and her family over the last few years. BRYANT - Betty Jean Fowler Schooler Neville, age 66, of Bryantpassed away at Bryant Hospice on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 after a long fight with cancer. Betty was born July 14, 1944 in Shelby, Miss., to the late Audrey Louise Coleman Fowler and Charles OdisFowler. Betty attended Delta State College where she received a Master's degree in Education. She was a retired school teacher of 27 years at Bryant Elementary and was a member of Bryant United Methodist Church. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory is Betty's husband of 39 years, Jerry G. Neville of Bryant; daughter J. Paige Smith and husband M. CABOT - Margaret Rose Ostner, 67, of Cabot died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010. She was born May 11, 1943 in Prague, Okla. to the late Raymond and Vera House Brower. Mrs. Ostner was a graduate of Comanche High School in Seminole, Okla., an artist and homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed art in many forms from oil painting, pottery and floral arranging to sewing and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on the water. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Lively. Mrs. Ostner is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lloyd Ostner of Cabot; her children, Robert Ostner of Albuquerque, N.M., Kristie Dodson and Kathie Seyforth, both of Denver, Colo. LONOKE - Merle Evans, 68, died September 25, 2010. He wasborn July 12, 1942, to the late Jess and Aliene Evans. He was a lumber buyer, bookkeeper and cattle rancher. He was a 1961 graduate of Des Arc High School and of Draughns Business School;spent six years in the Army National Guard; was a member for 31 years of Brownsville Baptist Church where he served as Deacon; and was a former Sunday School Superintendent.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Whitehurst, whom he married July 1, 1967. He is also survived by two sons, Carlton Young and wife JoAnn, and Ronnie Evans and wife Janice of Lonoke; four grandchildren, Crystal Lewis and husband Matt of Benton, Kala Young, Brennon Ingle and Audrey Evans of Lonoke; two great-grandchildren, Kallie Young of Lonoke and Cooper Lewis of Benton; two brothers, Marvin Evans and wife Myrtle of Washington, Carroll Evans and wife Rose Mae of Stuttgart; and one sister, Loretta Evans of Cabot; four aunts; one uncle; and a host of nieces and nephews.

PINE BLUFF - Betty Jo Harper Bullock, age 79, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Bullock was born June 28, 1931, in England, Ark., a daughter of the late Doc and Ethel Adams Harper. Mrs. Bullock was reared and received her educationin Geridge and Humnoke, where she attended grade school, andStuttgart, graduating from Stuttgart High School in 1949. She lived in Stuttgart until 1958, when she moved to Pine Bluff. She had been a resident of Pine Bluff since. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, the Crown Club Birthday Girls, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Triple Delight Bunko Club.

She was a caring woman who put her family first, always. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She touched the hearts and lives of so many. She collected antiques all her life which gave her much joy. She loved working in the yard with her flowers. Her favorite thing to do would be spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Harper Temple Henderson. She is survived by her husband, Roy Orville Bullock, whom she married April 16, 1955, in Hernando, Mississippi; two sons and daughters-in-law, Vince Byron and Kimberly Kay Bullock of Pine Bluff and twin grandsons, Dustin Heath Bullock of Pine Bluff and Zackery Caine Bullock and wife Christina, of White Hall, and Donnie Joe and Donna D. Carnahan of White Hall and twin grandsons Aaron Z. Carnahan and wife, Crystal, of Bella Vista and Daniel Ryan Carnahan and wife, Sarah, of Little Rock; sister, Margaret Ann Fread of Bonita, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Ray Edmonson officiating. Born March 8, 1925 in Valier, IL to Mary Doherty and ThurmanGulley she resided in Sherwoodprior to moving to Siloam Springs in 2007. Pauline was preceded in death in 1993 by her husband, Arlis Wright, former manager at Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Graves and Matt Kelley. She is survived by her children Susan (Ralph) Roberson of Camden, Rosemary Plum of Lenexa, Kansas, David (Diane) Wright of Siloam Springs, Julie (Bob) Perry of Sherwood, Paula (Robert) Wofford of Shreveport, La. and Patricia (Jim) Garitty of Coral Springs, Fla., as well as 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. Pauline will be remembered for the joy she found in reading, education and good conversation. She was a strong and guiding influence to those who were fortunate enough to know her. The memories of her generosity, intellect and sense of humor will be treasured by those she leaves behind. SWIFTON - Mrs. Hazel Raye Rowlett, age 81, of Swifton, Ark.went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 after battling cancer with tremendous courage. She was born May 20, 1929 at Swifton, Ark., the daughter of Jim and Gertie (Hartsell)Foust. A homemaker and member of the Swifton Church of Christ, Mrs. Rowlett was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed cooking, gardening, needle point, reading, and hosting family gatherings. Mrs. Rowlett was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Rowlett; one brother, Jimmy Foust, Jr.; one sister, Louise Lewellyn; and her parents.
