Motorcyclist killed in Searcy County wreck

— A 54-year-old Missouri man was killed Monday when the motorcycle he was riding veered off a Searcy County roadway and struck a tree.

Dana Mansbridge, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died from injuries sustained in the late-morning wreck. A passenger, 53-year-old Cathy Mansbridge, was taken to UAMS Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality report, the couple was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson west on Highway 14 about 10 miles west of Harriett when the motorcycle ran off the road at a curve. It then struck the tree, police said.

Dana Mansbridge is the 380th person killed in a traffic crash so far this year in Arkansas, according to preliminary police figures.
