— 3 gunmen rob 8 in LR apartment

Eight people were robbed at gunpoint by intruders at an apartment in Little Rock’s Hillcrest neighborhood on Monday evening, police said.

Jacob Lamb, 21, told police he and seven friends were playing video games at 7:15 p.m. at the apartment at 2100 Kavanaugh Blvd. when the three men, at least two of whom were armed with pistols, came inside, Little Rock police Lt. Dana Jackson said.

The intruders forced Lamb and his friends to lie on the floor and stole an undisclosed amount of money from their pockets before fleeing, Jackson said.

Witnesses told police the robbers had been dropped off by a white or red Cadillac or Lincoln sedan, Jackson said.

The robbers were all described as black, about 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds, Jackson said. One was described as having “messed up teeth” and being 18 to 20 years old. The other two were described as being in their mid-20s. A description of the robbers’ clothing wasn’t available. No arrests had been made late Monday.

Man arrested in purse snatching

A homeless man was arrested Monday and accused of using a pellet gun to steal a woman’s purse in central Little Rock, police said.

Kirt Ellison Jr., 24, was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and theft in the robbery of Alice Messick, 36, of Little Rock at 2413 S. Spring St., Jackson said.

Messick told police she was walking to her car at 8:15 a.m. Monday when a man grabbed her purse and put a gun to her head, Jackson said. The strap on the purse broke, and the man ran away with it.

Messick told police she followed the man until she spotted police officers and told them what happened, Jackson said. Officers found Ellison nearby at 313 W. 23rd St., Jackson said. He said officers found the purse and a pellet gun, but didn’t have information on where the items were found.

Eillson was being held late Monday in the Pulaski County jail. Bail had not been set.

Tot found in street, father jailed in LR

A man was arrested on a felony charge Monday after his 1-year-old son was found in the middle of a street in southwest Little Rock, police said.

A man called police about 9:50 a.m. after finding the boy, wearing adult shoes and a Tshirt, on Mablevale Cutoff, Jackson said.

While officers were searching for the boy’s parents, they were approached by the boy’s father, 21-year-old Jaylon Livingston, Jackson said.

Police determined Livingston left the boy with his mother, who was asleep, in the family’s apartment at 6201 Mabelvale Cutoff while Livingston went to visit the child’s grandmother, Jackson said.

Livingston was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a minor. The boy was released to his mother, Jackson said.

Livingston was being held in the Pulaski County jail late Monday. Bail had not been set.
