PINE BLUFF — Authorities in Jefferson County have identified a woman whose body was found inside of a house that burned in Altheimer.
The Pine Bluff Commercial reports that 21-year-old Charda Thomas was killed in the Sunday fire. The body has been sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the cause of death, though investigators say it appears Thomas died from smoke inhalation.
Authorities are still investigating both the fire and Thomas’ death.
