NEWPORT — Jacksonport State Park will host a Dutch oven workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 16, and again on Saturday, Oct. 23, in the picnic area.
Park interpreters will discuss methods on how to use and maintain a Dutch oven.
The menu will include chicken dumplings, buttermilk biscuits and peach cobbler.
The price of the workshop is $40, which includes one four-quart Dutch oven, plus $12 for each additional adult and $6 per child (12 years and younger) per family.
