ROBERT E. CANTRELL of Hensley, Ark., was set free from this life due to a heart attack on April 9, 2011. He is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Cantrell.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Beatrice Bumgardner Cantrell of Redfield; one brother, Charles O. Cantrell of Jonesboro, La.; sisters, Evelyn McCullah (Arlis), Donna Ply (Wayne), both of Redfield, and Glenda Beaumont (Bill) of Little Rock; six nephews, four nieces, nine great-nephews, five great-nieces; and one uncle, Walter Cantrell of Crystal Hill.

Pallbearers will be James Davidson, Brian Ply, Stephen Ply, Jody Cantrell, Otto Beaumont and Neil Beaumont. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Brickey, Tommy Bumgardner, Ronnie Higgs, Caleb Ply and Ghanon Ply.

LARRY ECKHARDT, 60, of Little Rock passed away March 26, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Bastrop, La., to the late Eugene and Carlita Marguerite Hall Eckhardt.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Eckhardt Sullivan. Larry is survived by his Aunt, Rosemary Hall Del Giorno of DeValls Bluff; Aunt, Ruth of Little Rock; cousins, Gabby Del Giorno and Pam Del Giorno Carter of DeValls Bluff, Ricky Hunt of North Little Rock, and numerous first cousins around the state. Buddy Sullivan, who was married to Larry’s sister for years, is also considered family.

Larry was a quiet person and wasn’t ever married. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. As an avid lover of animals he always owned a dog. His hobbies were that he and his family would set up tables at flea markets, and enjoyed collecting. He loved coming to DeValls Bluff in his younger days and shooting his guns in the country when visiting with his family.

A graveside service will be April 16, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park.

CABOT - Shirlee O’Dell Ward Kerley, 73, of Cabot went home to be with her Lord Monday, April 11, 2011. She was born June 26, 1937 to the late Luther and Nellie Hetrick Ward. In additionto her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Bill Ward. Ms. Kerley was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She was a selfemployed accountant from 1959 to 1980, and worked as a Farmers Agent from 1978 to 2001. She was also owner/operator of The Master’s Touch Bookstore from 1989 to 1997. From 2001 until her death, Shirlee was an independent agent.

She is survived by her children, Tamara Page of Cabot, Tonja Wood (Dale) of Hot Springs and Todd Kerley of Beebe; a sister, Deana Stratton (Don) of Jacksonville and a brother Boyce Glenn Ward of Fort Worth, Texas. Ms. Kerley is also survived by six grandchildren, Jasen Page, Somer Johnsen, Makenna Mathis, Briana Corder, Jared Kerley and Taylor Kerley; 15 greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog, Sadie.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011 in the chapel of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Files officiating. Interment will follow at King Cemetery. FAYETTEVILLE - Clif Lawson, 57, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 9, 1953, in Little Rock; the son of Wilbur Glenn and Barbara Frey Lawson. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. A graduate of Fayetteville High School, Class of 1971.He attended Valencia College of Orlando, Fla., and the University of Arkansas. He started his career path as a Suntan Lotion Salesman in Florida. He then became a truck driver. The majority of his career was spent at PAM Transport in Tontitown, where he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

He is survived by his son, Ryan Lawson, and wife, Katrina of Fayetteville; his sister, Rhonda Crouch and her husband, Robert of Fayetteville, and three nieces: Sandra Edwards of Tulsa, Okla., Stephanie Hutchinson of Little Rock, and Lindsey Geasland of Keller, Texas.

FORT SMITH - Margaret L. Harp, 82 years of age, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at a local nursing home. She was born on February 14, 1929, in Houston, Texas , to Paul and Martha Danforth. She attended the University of Texas and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She returned to school and in 1986 received a Degree in Rehabilitation Science from Arkansas Tech University in 1986 and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Science from Arkansas State University in 1988. She became an alcohol rehabilitation counselor and later taught rehabilitation science at Arkansas Tech University.

She is survived by three sons, David K. Harp and wife Sonya Howard of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Kenneth M. Harp of Jessieville, Arkansas; and James M. Harp of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Paul Danforth and wife, Ann of Hideaway, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE - Janis M. Steinke Pfenning, 74, a Hot Springs Village resident since2005, formerly of Chandler, Ariz., passed away on April 11, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, due to complications of multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow.She was born January 15, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Felix and Marcile Steinke.

She was predeceased by her parents and her younger sister, Karen Fowke. Jan, a retired homemaker, was an active volunteer for the Casa Maria homeless shelter in Tucson, Ariz., an active supporter of pro-life activities and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in the Village. A loving mother and wife, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing cards and most especially watching her kids and grandkids enjoy the hospitality of “Happy House” in Hot Springs Village.

Jan is survived by James F. Pfenning, whom she married on September 27, 1958, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. In addition, she is survived by sons Greg (Terri) Pfenning, (Courtney and Kyle) of La Habra, Calif., Kevin Pfenning of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Mark (Julia) Pfenning (Ross, Rachel and Roxanne) of Greensboro, N.C., daughters Terry (Hank) Everett (Paige and Riley) of Orange Park, Fla., and Becky (David) Turner (Garrett, Drew, Hannah and Grace) of Calgary, AB, Canada. Another grandson, Christopher Romero of Tempe, Ariz., and great grandson, Caden Turner of Calgary, also survive along with her brother, Ken (Carole) of Scottsdale, Ariz., plus a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, April 15, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4 p.m., Thursday at the church with Rosary recited at 4:30 p.m. Inurment will be held at a later date in Wapakoneta,Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice or to Cancer Research. HUMNOKE - Florence M. Krisell Camp went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 9,2011. She was 93 years old eight months and nine days. She was the oldest daughter of Dave and Willie Krisell. She was born in Morrilton, Ark. Before moving to England, Ark .,during her childhood, the family moved to the Flynn community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, a son-in-law and her husband of 57 years Harley Camp. She is survived be her children Nola Jeanne Henderson of Brookland, Ark., Claudean Pierce (Ralph) of Bellevue, Neb., Tommy Camp (Ann) of El Paso, Ark., Kathie Phillips (Gary) of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and her caregiver Melinda Henderson of Humnoke, Ark. She had 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Walton Krisell( Ella Mae) of Stuttgart; three sisters, Margartte Jackson, Edith Curton, Betty Dabbs, all of Humphrey, Ark., and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang with a trio of ladies at Stuttgart, Ark., on the radio as well as in church. She was a avid Bible reader and a Sunday School teacher for many years. Also, she was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Mexico Missions or Union Valley Cemetery. SEARCY - Dorothy Hays Bellas, age 77, of Searcy was born June 5, 1933, and went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 10, 2011, after a courageous fight. She was born the daughter of Noble Brown and Modell Brown Jones both of Augusta.

Dorothy is survived by seven children, Beverly Robersonof Searcy, Brenda Blair, Terry (Pam) Hays, Tammy (Gerald) Lynch, and Rhonda Turner all of Judsonia; Monte (Tammy) Hays of Searcy and Lisa (Randy) Kieffner of Kennett, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two on the way at the time of her death; and her sister, Bonnie England of Judsonia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years and daddy to her eight children, Dayton Hays; a daughter, Sheila Hays; a later husband of five years, Norman Bellas; and her parents.

Dorothy was known for her love and talent for cooking and baking. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, decorating activities and gardening. She showered everyone with the fruits of her talents.She loved to travel to Branson, country music and dancing. Above all, Dorothy loved her family and taking care of all of them in so many ways. Christmas for example for such a large family only made her more excited to celebrate and express her love. She always placed the joy of others first which really was her joy. She was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Judsonia and expressed her faith in Jesus even in her last days on earth.

SEARCY - Peggy Ann Jones, age 79, of Searcy died Monday, April 11, 2011. She was born at Oceola, May 4, 1931, the daughter of John and Ruth Hampton Douglas. She attended State Teachers College, and taught school in Oceola, Back Gate and Dumas. Mrs. Jones was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church. She and her husband owned the Unpainted Furniture Store in Searcy until 2006, when the business was carried on by their daughter Robin and son-inlaw, Jamie Looney.

Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Robert Edward Jones; daughters, Melinda Holder (Bill), Cabot, Robin Looney (Jamie), Searcy; son, Eddie Jones (Dana), Searcy; brothers, George Douglass (Sally), Jonesboro and John Douglass, Oceola; grandchildren, Ruth Ann Looney, Robert Looney, who is serving his 3rd tour in Iraq, Lee Holder (Casey), Peggy Jane Holder, Emily Holder, Will Jones and several nieces and nephews.
