— A Batesville man was killed Thursday night when the motorcycle he was riding veered across the center line and struck an oncoming car, authorities said.

Arkansas State Police identified the motorcyclist as 57-year-old Morris D. Miller.

According to a preliminary police report, Miller was riding a 2000 Harley north on U.S. 167 in Batesville when he crossed the center line and hit a southbound Pontiac.

The Pontiac driver, 27-year-old Jennifer Patrick, and two child passengers in the car suffered unspecified injuries.

Police say the roadway was wet when the wreck occurred shortly before 9 p.m.

Miller was the 150th person killed on Arkansas roadways so far this year, according to preliminary state police figures.
