WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE SUMMER MEMORY? Jake Bequette and I and a couple of other guys on the golf course. We played a lot. Heated competition at times, which is good. Got to go fish a little bit this summer with Dad.
MOST INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE? I’d say my dad [Don Wilson] and my grandpa [James Burgess] are the most influential within my family. My grandpa is one of those wise men types. He’s level-headed and kind of stone cool. You feel like you’re a better person every time you’re around him. He’s been an inspiration for me, and my dad as well. He’s always been supportive.
TOP TWITTER FOLLOWS (EXCLUDING TEAMMATES) I like the funny stuff. The Dos Equis man always has some funny stuff. I’m not too caughtup into it. I keep it light.
HOBBIES I love to play golf. I love to hang out with friends and family, go to the pool.
FAVORITE MEAL Fettucine alfredo. Definitely love spinach artichoke pasta, Italian-type stuff. Also meat and potatoes.
FUNNIEST TEAMMATE Any time you get all those O-line guys around each other, it’s pretty funny. They feed off each other. Those guys always ham it up. Grant Freeman and Grant Cook, they’re funny.
FAVORITE ACTRESS Angelina Jolie, maybe Cameron Diaz FAVORITE ACTOR I like Kevin Costner YOUR WELCOME TO THE SEC MOMENT Coming in as a true freshman, playing against Alabama here. The first series, coming in and throwing a touchdown, and you go, ‘This isn’t so bad. I can handle this.’ Next few series, they kind of bring it to me and pound me a little bit. That welcomes you in a good and a bad way.
Real Housewives of Orange Coun-FAVORITE COACH PETRINO STORY One practice a couple of years ago, I carried out a fake after handing the ball off and I stepped on his toe. [Chuckling]. I’ll never forget ... the few words he said to me. I think I kind of exaggerated my fake a little more and he was in that spot, that area, and I got him. You never want to step on the head man’s toe.
CAN’T MISS TV Other than like thety? A joke, absolutely. I told the TV guys that. I’ll flip on SportsCenter and watch. The Golf Channel. Golf lessons from the pros.
FAVORITE PRO TEAMS Being from this area, I like the Cowboys. I grew up watching them. It’s kind of a free market around here.
