FAVORITE MEAL I’m a steak and potatoes kind of guy, and some asparagus. I’m definitely going to have my mom’s homemade apple pie for dessert.

MOST INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE I think my mom and dad. My mom’s a single mom taking care of three kids, works a job, but she’s at every game and finds a way to get here. She’s tough as nails. And my dad is a great man, very encouraging. He’s always been there for me. I’m very close to both of them.

FAVORITE COACH BOBBY PETRINO SAYING He told me one time, “You’re the dumbest smart guy that I know!” When you make a mental error on the field, he catches it.

HOBBIES I love to get outdoors, whether it’s fishing, hunting, even just running around playing recreational games. I just love to be outside.

FAVORITE MOVIES I really like Remember the Titans, Invincible, The Shawshank Redemption.

FAVORITE ACTOR Denzel Washington FAVORITE ACTRESS Jennifer Anniston FAVORITE MUSIC I love listening to country, Kenny Chesney. Throw in the Eagles every now and then.

CAN’T MISS TV SHOW I hate to say it, but I love Jersey Shore. It cracks me up.

FAVORITE BOOK Wild at Heart FAVORITE PRO TEAM Denver Broncos FAVORITE PRO ATHLETE Tom Brady IF YOU WEREN’T PLAYING FOOTBALL, WHAT SPORT? Probably baseball or basketball. I loved playing both of those growing up.

FUNNIEST TEAMMATE Grant Cook. He’s got a one-liner for everything. He never misses a beat.

HARDEST HIT A guy from Missouri State. I don’t his name, but I can’t wait to see him again, because I owe him one. He cleaned my clock two years ago.

FUN MEMORY FROM THIS SUMMER I went to the NCAA career in sports forum in Indianapolis. I had a great time and met tons of kids from around the country that, like me, want to coach. I got to meet a lot of coaches and kind of build a network. ... The university nominated me to go, and I sent in an application and a resume. I was one of about 300 selected out of about 2,000 [nominees] across the country.
