Body found in Arkansas River identified as missing man

— A body pulled from the Arkansas River Wednesday night has been identified as a 40-year-old man who was reported missing a day earlier.

Police say the body of LeAndre Jackson was pulled from the river about 8:30 p.m. A homicide investigation is ongoing.

Jackson's body was found by a fisherman on the north side of the Interstate 430 bridge.

Jackson was reported missing by family members, who said they last heard from him early Tuesday morning when he called to say he had a flat tire. Firefighters later found his burning, empty car in a parking lot at Pleasant Valley Drive.
