JEANINE MARIE AITKEN - PITTMAN JOHN JUSTISS

LITTLE ROCK — Jeanine Marie Aitken Pittman and John Justiss were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Country Club of Little Rock. The Rev. Fred Arnold officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth and William Aitken of Ashdown. Her grandparents are Mary and the late Curtis Ryan of Ashdown and Patsy and John Aitken of Winnemucca, Nev.
Rebecca and Allen McDowell, 5455 Scenic Drive, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Ruby Garlin of Arkadelphia and the late Ray Garlin of Little Rock.
The ceremony site was decorated with arrangements of white gladioluses and snapdragons, hydrangeas, magnolia and evergreens. Music was by pianist Jim Dickerson.
Given in marriage by her father and her son, Spencer Pittman, the bride wore a slim lace gown with a fishtail train and scalloped hem.Swarovski crystals embellished the Empire waist. She carried a clutch bouquet of red roses.
Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were her sisters Maree Coats of Greenbrier and Julie Chauncy of Ashdown.
Bridesmaids were Laura Zehr of Washington, sister of the groom; and Corie Wedgeworth, Cathleen McFarlin and Stephanie Brown, all of Little Rock.
They wore black one-shoulder dresses embellished with beading at the shoulder and waist. Their bouquets were filled with red roses and white hydrangeas.
Alex Justiss of Little Rock was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Victor Harris, Bryan Speed and Dave Light, all of Little Rock; Ed Cupaioli of Washington; and David Estes of Tulsa.
A reception at the club followed the ceremony. Guest tables were covered in white linens with bronze silk moire overlays and centered with large arrangements of white hydrangeas and evergreens.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She has a master’s degree in nursing anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. She is a certified registered nurse anesthetist for Conway Anesthesiology Consultants.
The groom attended the UA where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is an account executive with Hewlett-Packard in Conway.
The couple will reside in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Montreal.
