— Nancy Michelle Trice and Matthew Todd Brittain exchanged marriage vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott. Will McDonald of Blyth Road Church of Christ, Victoria, Texas, officiated.

Parents of the bride are Marian Haskins McGovern of Rogers and William Richard Trice of Harrison. She is the granddaughter of the late Lorene and Gene Haskins and the late Eunice and Richard Trice, all of Stuttgart.

The groom is the son of Linda Brittain of Odessa, Texas, and the late Jerry Brittain of Midland, Texas. His grandparents are the late Lonita and John Hillman of Hazelton, Kan., and the late Marion and Guy Brittain of Medicine Lodge, Kan.

The home was decorated with a Christmas tree trimmed in emerald green and mustard gold ornaments serving as a focal point along with three antique urns filled with ivory and white roses, lilies and French tulips.

Music was by pianist and soloist Eddie Airheart, trumpeter Nicholas Stone and vocalists Christina, Hannah, Sarah and Amanda Trice, nieces of the bride. Scripture readers were Bruce Trice, brother of the bride, and Collin Trice, nephew of the bride.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory mermaid style gown of royal satin with an asymmetrical sweep train. At her waist she wore a mocha velvet sash embellished with geometric jewels and chiffon roses. Her ivory fingertip length veil was trimmed with satin ribbon. Her bouquet was filled with lilies, roses, French tulips and rosemary.

Jamie Hopson of Little Rock was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Adria Brittain of Victoria, daughter of the groom; Amy Davis of Sherwood and Jamye Morrisette of North Little Rock, cousins of the bride. They wore champagne-colored cocktail dresses and carried white French tulips.

Flower girl was Caley Grace Williams of Little Rock and ring bearer was Nicholas Turner of Victoria.

Best man was Brady Brittain of Victoria, son of the groom. Groomsmen were Marc Brittain of Midland, brother of the groom, and Steve Turner of Victoria.

A reception at Marlsgate followed the ceremony. The buffet held a large arrangement of roses, tulips and lilies with smaller arrangements of wedding flowers on each side. Music was by Eddie Airheart.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and until the wedding was senior publications editor at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods in Little Rock.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He is senior laboratory manager at Formosa Plastics.

The couple will live in Victoria and plan a wedding trip to Hawaii at a later date.
