Hunter Kissinger spent the past three years helping Springdale Har-Ber build up its football tradition. Now Kissinger will look to do the same for Lousiana-Monroe.

Kissinger, a 6-foot-3, 218-pound linebacker, signed his national letter of intent with ULM on Wednesday. And to hear the two-year Har-Ber starter tell it, helping the Warhawks start their own football legacy was one of the main reasons he chose the school in the first place.

"The thing that stuck out to me was coach (Todd) Berry said he and his family loved Monroe and there was no where else they would rathar be," Kissinger said. "And when I went on my official visit, he told me that nobody at the school had made a legacy and we could be the first.

"That's what I liked."

Kissinger finished his senior season with 105 tackles, including 48 solo tackles, and earned both all-conference and all-state honors. He chose ULM over Kansas and made his final decision in mid-December when he verbally committed to the Warhawks.
