Yertle, Horton, The Grinch and their companions are taking up temporary residence at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock. “The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss” exhibit, which examines seven decades of Theodor Geisel’s work, opens Saturday at the center and will continue through May 22. Also, the center will have a free admission day Monday. Otherwise, admission is $7, $5 for retired military, college students and ages 62 and over; $3 for children 6-17; free for active military. More than 30 restaurants will ladle up their best soups for Soup Sunday, 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Embassy Suites, 11301 Financial Centre Parkway in Little Rock. The fundraiser for Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families is celebrating its 30th year with soups, children’s activities, music by Little Joe and the BKs and a silent auction.

The Community Theatre of Little Rock will stage Aaron Sorkin’s military courtroom drama A Few Good Men at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26 and March 4-5 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 and March 6 at the Public Theatre, 616 Center St., Little Rock.

Singers from the Hot Springs Music Festival, a children’s chorus (members of the Congregation House of Israel Hebrew School Choir and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Angelchoir) and a professional instrumental ensemble including visiting Israeli woodwind player Amir Gwirtzman will gather for the world premiere of Oy Vey Cabaret, a concert tracing the path of Jewish song from Old World Eastern European celebrations through its migration to the New World, the golden age of Yiddish musical theater and its influence on today’s movies and popular music, at 7 p.m. today in the ballroom of the Arlington Hotel, Central Avenue and Fountain Street, Hot Springs. Former President Bill Clinton and Academy Award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen will attend Argenta Community Theater’s “Opening Act Celebration,” today-Saturday at 405 Main St. in North Little Rock’s Argenta district. Things get under way today with the Little Rock Film Festival screening a feature motion picture, Small Town Murder Songs, with a 6:30 p.m. reception and the screening at 7:30. Admission is free; 200 tickets are available on a first-come, firstserved basis. The theater will be dedicated in an invitation-only event Friday; Clinton and Steenburgen will attend Saturday’s fundraising dinner in an outdoor tent, on a parking lot across from the theater and that block of Main Street will be closed that evening.
