— With soups from 24 restaurants to choose from, it was impossible to leave hungry from the Feb. 20 Soup Sunday.

Many guests came equipped with their own muffin tins to hold a variety of the soup samplings. The choices ranged from the traditional - like cheese broccoli soup from the Dixie Cafe - to the exotic - likelavender glazed carrot soup from Starving Artist Cafe.

And there were hot dogs and popcorn for picky kids who wouldn’t eat soup.

In the VIP room, chef Scott McGehee of ZaZa’s demonstrated his recipe for green-chile stew.

The event, held at Embassy Suites, was a fundraiser for Arkansas Advocates for Children andFamilies. Lila Niswanger and Jennifer Pierce cochaired the party. In its 30th year, Soup Sunday is one of the longest-running fundraisers in Little Rock.
