— The U.S. Army has identified the soldier being held in custody in connection with the death of his wife as Spc. Aaron M. Rentfrow.

No charges have been filed, and the case remains under investigation.

The Army said the 30-year-old Rentfrow reported Sunday night that his wife, 31-year-old Tonya Lynn Rentfrow, of Conway, Ark., was dead at their home on Fort Wainwright.

In a news release, the Army says Aaron Rentfrow is being held in “pre-trial confinement” at a Fairbanks jail.

The Army says Rentfrow is from Fort Wayne, Ind., and began an assignment as a mental health specialist at Fort Wainwright last May.
