Woman killed in head-on collision with truck

LITTLE ROCK — A 37-year-old Texarkana woman was killed Tuesday when her car was hit head-on by a Mack truck that crossed the center line, authorities said.
Shemeka R. Cheatham was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the accident on U.S. Highway 82.
Police say it happened just before 10 a.m. as Cheatham's 2011 Nissan was traveling west on the highway east of Lewisville.
According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality report, a Mack truck driven by Danielle Dwayne Colquitt veered from the eastbound lanes into the westbound lanes and collided with the Nissan.
Colquitt, of Haynesville, La., was taken Wasley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Tx. for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not indicate what might have caused the truck to cross the line.
