Pilot of small plane dies after crash in Scott

LITTLE ROCK According to a Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office release, a man was killed when a small airplane crashed into a bean field in Scott, Saturday afternoon.
After locating the small, single-engine, one-seat, ultra-light aircraft, deputies discovered the deceased pilot who was later identified as 44-year old Lindsey East of Little Rock.
Little Rock Police assisted in the locating and notifying of family members.
Lt. Jim Kulesa said the cause of the crash is undetermined at this time.
The area will be secured until the FAA completes their investigation.

Yes, very sad. We learned of Lindsey's passing just this evening. It feels like a little light has gone out; he was such a sweet and gentle soul. We didn't see him often but we sure will miss him. Our thoughts go out to his family in this time.
