— First United Methodist Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, for the marriage of Veronica Lee Paulson and Nicholas Bradley McClane. The Rev. Mary Jane Cole officiated.

Parents of the bride are Terry and retired Maj. Gen. Walter A. Paulson of New Orleans and 116 N. Palm St. She is the granddaughter of Lee and the late Shay Clayton of Little Rock and the late Betty and Roy Edward Paulson of Hot Springs.

The bridegroom is the son of Sandy O’Neal of North Little Rock and Keith Mc-Clane of Little Rock. His grandparents are Hattie and the late Mac McClane of Little Rock and the late Icie Hubbard and the late T.H. Hubbard, both of Pine Bluff.

A large arrangement of white hydrangeas, ivory garden roses and navy viburnum berries decorated the altar. Music was by organist Jon Peterson.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory satin trumpet-style gown with silver beaded embroidery at the midriff and a chapel-length train. Her bouquet of white hydrangeas, gardenias and dusty miller included lace from her mother’s wedding dress.

Matron of honor was Shay Paulson Rafferty of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Marlo Manley, Lauren Gabriel and Helen Paulson, all of Little Rock; Whitney Brunner of Austin, Texas; Ashley Heitzman of Philadelphia; and Leah Myers of Purcellville, Va.

They wore navy blue taffeta cocktail dresses with bubble hems and thin shoulder straps and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Elizabeth “Lizzy” Porter Paulson and John Blake Paulson of Little Rock, niece and nephew of the bride.

Best man was Chris McClane of Lawton, Okla., brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were J.R. Fuller, Brian Mann, Neil Gray, Jason Alley, Tim Rafferty and Steve Paulson, brother of the bride, all of Little Rock, and Ryan O’Connor of Atlanta. Junior groomsman was Will Paulson of Little Rock, nephew of the bride. Tony Mayhew, Ryan Norris and Gary Pritchett, all of Little Rock, served as ushers.

A reception at Arkansas Community Gallery at the Terry House followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered with ivory cloths and navy runners were centered, alternately, with wedding flowers in heirloom silver bowls and goblets from the bride’s family or large lanterns with floating candles.

The bride attended Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. After receiving her license, the bride will be a therapist with Pathfinder Inc.

The bridegroom attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and is a student at Pulaski Technical College working toward a degree in occupational therapy. He is a customer service agent for FedEx.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
