Boss of drug ring gets life sentence

— FORT SMITH - An Oklahoma man who ran a methamphetamine distribution ring in the Fort Smith area was sentenced in federal court to life in prison.

Torrance Bunch, 34, of Spiro, Okla., was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Robert Dawson, according to a news releasefrom the U.S. attorney’s office.

Bunch received a life sentence for conspiracy to distribute 500 or more grams of methamphetamine, and 20 years for each on three counts of methamphetamine distribution. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Bunch was convicted by a jury in November.
