Two killed in Jefferson County wreck

— Two men from Woodson were killed Monday when the car they were in ran off Highway 365 in Jefferson County and struck a utility pole, authorities said.

The driver, Ervin J. Kelly, 36, and a passenger, Arvin L. Withers, 31, were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Kelly was driving a 1986 Oldsmobile south in the 1500 block of Highway 365 North when the car ran off the road. The vehicle reportedly hit a utility pole and then ran down an embankment, overturned and struck a tree.

The accident happened about 2:20 p.m.

While visiting Arkansas this year we read so many of these stories of 1 vehicle 'accidents'.Trees jump out onto the roads or what? Its too sad.
