— Kathryn Buchanan became the bride of Robert Andrew Bushmiaer Jr. at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. Scott Walters officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Frances and Samuel Abraham Buchanan, 4920 Hawthorne Road. She is the granddaughter Mary Sue and the late John Thomas Rogers, also of Little Rock, and the late Vonceil and Samuel Buchanan of Texarkana.

The groom is the son of Marty Heiple, 3124-B Kavanaugh Blvd., and Robert Andrew Bushmiaer, 8623 Linda Lane. His grandparents are Frances and the late George Edward Berg and the late Carrie and George Eakes Bushmiaer, all also of Little Rock.

On each side of the altar were columns that held large arrangements of antique hydrangeas and Sahara roses in stone urns. Music was by organist Steven David Bullock and trumpeter David Laubach. Readers were Bonnie Enderlin Dawson of Little Rock, cousin of the groom; Holland Kaye Hassman of Dallas; and Paul Thomas Bennett of Pine Bluff.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin and tulle sheath and carried an Edwardian blossom formed from many white rose petals.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were her niece, Kathryn Jeter, and her sister, Susan Jeter, both ofLittle Rock. Bridesmaids were Carrie Bennett, sister of the groom, and Leighton Bennett, niece of the groom, both of Pine Bluff; Jacquelyn Pittman, Amanda Tiner and Mary Tedford, goddaughter of the bride, all also of Little Rock; Elizabeth Heffernan of Dallas; and Laura Spence of Durham, N.C. They wore gold strapless sheaths and carried bouquets of Sahara roses, hydrangeas, orchids, dusty miller and lamb’s ear.

Flower girls were Kelleigh Boerner, Ellison Fairley, Phoebe Pittman, Anne Tedford, Mary Tiner and Elizabeth Toland, all of Little Rock, and Lilly Landers of Fayetteville. Ring bearer was Leighton Toland, also of Little Rock.

Serving as best man was Gareth Hughes of Little Rock. Groomsmen were William Bennett of Pine Bluff, nephew of the groom; Adam Dunaway, Thomas Collier East Jr., Charles Murray, James Saxton, Brendan Turner and Hudgens Buchanan Jeter, nephew of the bride, all also of Little Rock; and Michael Gregory Mc-Cormack of Woodbridge, Va.

Guests were seated by Leland Couch, Christopher Jennings, Matthew Jeter and James Metrailer Jr., allof Little Rock, Robert Tellez of North Little Rock and Charles Enderlin Jr. of Meridian, Miss., cousin of the groom.

Guest tables throughout the ballroom of the Country Club of Little Rock, where a reception was held, were covered in blue French cloths with white dahlia overlays and centered with tall gold stands holding mounds of antique hydrangeas and Sahara roses. The corners of the open square buffet were accented with white columns topped with urns of curly willow, hydrangeas and roses. Music was by the Goodtime Ramblers.

The bride graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Chi Omega. She is a professional organizer, freelance writer and owner of Littlerockpaperscissors.com.

The groom also attended the UA, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with bachelor’s degrees in sociology and anthropology. He is an executive broker with Pulaski Heights Realty.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Hawaii.
