Ole Miss drove to the Arkansas 31 before a penalty and a sack wrecked the drive. Arkansas went three-and-out starting from its 9. The Rebels drove 25 yards for a 43-yard field goal. A pass interference gave Arkansas its initial first down, but Ole Miss stuffed Broderick Green on fourth-and-1 at the 49. Ole Miss gained 12 yards on back-to-back plays to end the quarter as the Razorbacks were shut out in the first quarter for the first time all season.

2nd Quarter MISSISSIPPI 17, ARKANSAS 7

Arkansas cornerback Darius Winston was in position, but didn’t make a play as Randall Mackey’s fade pass for Donte Moncrief went 31 yards for a touchdown on the quarter’s first play. Ole Miss’ next possession was an 11-play, 80-yard drive that had no third-down plays. Mackey juked Jake Bequette on a 3-yard touchdown keeper. The Hogs ran on third-and-14 and Dennis Johnson bowled his way for a 52-yard touchdown run. Ole Miss converted three first downs to keep Arkansas from having time to score at the half’s end.

3rd Quarter ARKANSAS 26, MISSISSIPPI 17

The Razorbacks went 56 yards, pulling within 17-10 on Zach Hocker’s 33-yard field goal. A 37-yard reception by Joe Adams set up Tyler Wilson’s 1-yard touchdown sneak. Donte Moncrief dropped a deep ball for the Rebels and the Hogs made them pay.

Adams’ 67-yard run with a short pass set up Wilson’s 1-yard bootleg for a touchdown on fourth down. The Hogs got to the Ole Miss 1, but Dennis Johnson lost a fumble. But Jerry Franklin broke through for a safety and a nine-point lead.

4th Quarter ARKANSAS 29, MISSISSIPPI 24

Four consecutive runs by Dennis Johnson after the free kick gained 44 yards to the Ole Miss 7, but the Rebels forced a Zach Hocker field goal. Intentional grounding wiped out Ole Miss’ next possession, but the Hogs punted. The Rebels were successful on two fourth-down conversions and scored on Randall Mackey’s fade pass to Donte Moncrief over Isaac Madison. Ole Miss recovered a textbook onside kick, but Trey Flowers had a sack, then Eric Bennett intercepted Mackey to seal it.
