Evolve participants revel in Miami-like decadence

— The men wore pastel Don Johnson-type suits and women had on their hottest nightclub attire at Evolve, a new charity event Oct. 13 for the Centers for Youth and Families.

The clothes fit in with the theme of the event: A Night in Miami. Guests were handed mojitas as they arrived at the Great Hall at the Clinton Presidential Center, setting the mood for the evening. Live and silent auctions were held and a buffet of Latin-inspired hors d’oeuvres tempted the attendees.

Local beauty queens sold chances to win at a “Cards for Kids” drawing. The winner split the proceeds with the Centers.

Carolyn Halsell chaired the event. Presenting sponsor was the Stephens Group, and Dover Dixon Horne PLLC was the headline sponsor.

The Centers provides a variety of behavioral health services and prevention programs for children and youths, ages 2 to 21.
