— Wedding vows were exchanged by Lucinda Montez Blackstone, who goes by Lindy, and Erin William Lanford at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in First United Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Thompson Murray of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist and the Rev. Michael Mattox.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Paul Blackstone of North Little Rock. Her grandparents are the late Mary and Lawson Blackstone and the late Margarette and Edgar Church.

The groom is the son of Nancy Jo and William Lanford of Mayflower. His grandparents are Dorothy and Bill Lanford of North Little Rock and the late Marcella Mae and Col. J.R. Woodruff Jr.

The chancel was decorated with urns filled with autumn flowers. Music was by organist John Churchwell, pianist Jim Walmith and vocalist Jennifer McMillin.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fitted A-line gown of ivory taffeta with a strapless asymmetrically pleated bodice. Hand-made organza rosettes embellished the bustle. She wore her mother’s cathedral-length wedding veil, which was secured with a vintage cap made oflace and satin flower petals. She carried a clutch bouquet of roses, orange lilies, freesia and purple statice.

Jennifer McMillin of Dallas served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christa Hudson of Alexander; Cori Tiberi of Park Ridge, Ill.; Tammie Thessing of North Little Rock; Anissa Veon of Camby, Ind.; Tamara Lanford of Conway, sister of the groom; and Meghan Hornbacher of Towson, Md. They wore black knee-length dresses in the style of their choice and carried bouquets of roses and fall flowers.

Best man was Shawn Stark of Harrison. Groomsmen were Bill Miller of Sherwood; Brennan Lanford of Conway, nephew of the groom; Evan Blackstone of Albuquerque, N.M., brother of the bride; Nick Siria of Little Rock; and Travis McVay and Todd Gillihan, both of North Little Rock.

A reception at The Greens at North Hills in Sherwood followed the ceremony. Tables covered withwhite linens and burnt orange runners were decorated with cylinder vases holding roses and ivory floating candles. Assisting were Rose Gladner and Leia Friedman, both of Little Rock; and Jennifer Luyet and Cheryl Bates, both of Conway.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in English from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind., and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she was a member of Kappa Tau AlphaNational Honor Society. She is a promotions and marketing director at KABZ-FM, 103.7 The Buzz.

The groom graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology and magna cum laude with a master’s degree in operations management from UALR. He is an engineer with LM Windpower.

The couple will make their home in North Little Rock after a wedding trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
