Accidents on state roadways kill 2

— Two people were killed on Arkansas roadways over a two-day period, according to Arkansas State Police fatality reports.

On Friday, Jessica Ashley Mann, 24, of Winslow was killed on U.S. 71 in Winslow.

At 7:34 a.m., Mann was driving a 1994 Toyota south on the highway when she flipped the vehicle while trying to negotiate a curve, the report said. The Toyota landed on its roof.

On Saturday, William Zachery Godwin, 15, of Sheridan was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m. at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, less than an hour after he sustained injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Grant County.

At 3:52 p.m., Godwin was driving a 2010 ATV north on Grant County Road 75 when he failed to stop at a stop sign, the report said. Godwin hit a 2010 Toyota, driven by William A. Holloway, 59, of Sheridan that was heading east on U.S. 270, the report said.

Holloway and passenger Marsha Holloway, 58, of Sheridan were not injured.

Other passengers in the Toyota, Dillion Neal, 15, of Sheridan and Colby Smothers, 15, of White Hall, were injured and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, the report said.
