Arkansas church leveled by tornado rebuilding

— The pastor of a church destroyed by an April tornado has moved into his new home.

The Sentinel-Record newspaper reports that Tim Forrest, the pastor of the Walnut Valley Baptist Church near Hot Springs, moved into the church's new parsonage over the weekend.

Since the tornado leveled the church, the congregation has since been meeting at the local high school.

Other church buildings continue to be rebuilt. The entire project is expected to cost $1.3 million.

Forrest says he hopes the church will be finished in time for Christmas Sunday.
