A man who was dropped off near Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock with two gunshot wounds in his torso Sunday night told officers he was shot during a robbery, police said.

The man, whose name was not released Sunday night, was dropped off near the hospital shortly before 9 p.m., Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said.

The man told police he was in a white Monte Carlo at Kanis Road and Michael Drive when someone else in the car robbed him and shot him, Davis said. The car then went to the hospital, where the injured man was dropped off, she said.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening, she said.

The man described the gunman as black, 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds, wearing a black jacket with white fur trim.

No arrests had been made late Sunday.
