CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas will host a memorial candlelight vigil Wednesday in honor of shooting victims Ryan Henderson and Chavares Block.
The public is invited to attend the 7 p.m. event at the memorial garden in front of Arkansas Hall on the school’s campus in Conway.
Henderson and Block were victims of an on-campus shooting Oct. 26, 2008.
In 2009, the students of the National Pan-Hellenic Council established a memorial scholarship fund. One male student from Dermott High School and Hall High School will receive a $1,000 scholarship each year, a UCA news release said.
