  • The Arkansas edition of ESPN’s documentary series Depth Chart will air at 6 p.m. today.

The hour-long feature will focus on the Arkansas quarterbacks’ preparation for the Oct. 8 Auburn game, including their work in the meeting room and the practice field.

Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson said he didn’t have advance knowledge as to which parts of the weeklong filming will make it into the show.

“I’m as nervous as you guys are,” Wilson said.

“Who knows what’s on there? So I’m anxious to see it.” One of the promotional clips for the piece shows Wilson delivering pizzas along with teammates to students who were camping out in the ticket line on the Thursday prior to the Hogs’ 38-14 victory over Auburn.

“I would be in the scene with pizzas,” senior guard Grant Cook said. “I was in there handing out pizzas with Tyler. He’s a superstar, though. I’m just a background guy.”

The show will air again on ESPN2 on Thursday at midnight and Sunday at 2 p.m., and on ESPNU on Thursday at 5 a.m. and 8 a.m., Friday at 9 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.

Trio tamed

Arkansas receivers Greg Childs, Jarius Wright and Cobi Hamilton combined for two receptions in the 29-24 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday, the fewest for the trio since Hamilton arrived on campus for the 2009 season.

Wright and Hamilton each had one reception for 20 yards against the Rebels, although they were both targeted on multiple long passes, while Childs was held without a catch for the second time this season.

Not since Wright had two catches and Childs none in a 31-28 loss at Mississippi State in 2008 had those three players combined to catch fewer than five passes in a game.

“We had our running game going early, and as you could see, Dennis Johnson was lighting it up,” Wright said. Johnson rushed for a career-high 160 yards on 15 carries.

Quarterback Tyler Wilson laid a lot of the blame for the light statistics for the star receivers in his own hands.

“Well, 46 percent passing is hard to believe for me,” he said. “Obviously it’s because I wasn’t getting the ball to them on a normal basis.”

Senior Joe Adams led the Razorbacks with 124 yards on four catches against Ole Miss. Adams has a reception in 40 of 41 career games.

Stuffed

Ole Miss’ stuffing of Broderick Green on fourthand-1 in the first quarter Saturday marked just the second time Arkansas has been stopped on fourth down this season.

The Razorbacks have converted 8 of 10 fourthdown chances, which is tied for the seventh-best percentage in the nation.

Their only other failed fourth down came when Alabama stopped Dennis Johnson on fourth-and-1 from the Alabama 43.

Rebel cushions

Ole Miss quarterback Randall Mackey completed multiple short-route completions in front of Arkansas’ defensive backs, which was worth a postgame question of defensive coordinator Willy Robinson.

“We wanted to keep it inside and in front,” Robinson said. “The thing about it is we needed to load the box.

“If we’re going to load the box and play with eightman fronts, we kind of put ourselves in not necessarily single-high man, but some three-deep zone. It’s a give and take, and the guy took what he saw. I thought we did a good job of tackling the catch.”

Tickets remain

Vanderbilt’s game notes indicate $50 tickets still remain for Saturday’s game.

They can be purchased by phone at (615) 322-4653, at vucommodores.com or at the McGugin Center box office on campus.
