— MOTOR SPORTS Advance tickets remain for STN

Advance three-day passes for this weekend’s Comp Cams Short Track Nationals at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway will remain on sale through today, according to track spokesman Tracey Clay.

Three-day passes are $45 for the event, which will be held Thursday-Saturday and is expected to draw more than 100 of the nation’s top sprint car teams. They may be purchased at the track ticket office, by calling the track at (501) 455-4567 or you can e-mail your name and credit card information to racing@I-30speedway.com.

Day of show adult general admission tickets are $15 for the Thursday and Friday events, $25 for Saturday. Children aged 6-12 get in for $2 on Thursday and Friday, $5 on Saturday.

VOLLEYBALL Harding freshman honored by GAC

Harding freshman Taryn Eubank has been named Great American Conference setter of the week.

Eubanks totaled 63 assists throughout two matches for an average of 10.5 per set. She started the week with 26 assists in a 3-0 victory over Arkansas-Monticello and ended the week with 37 in a five-set victory over Southern Arkansas.

GOLF ASU finishes third in Tennessee

Arkansas State’s women finished third and UALR finished fifth at the Blue Raider Invitational on Tuesday in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Arkansas State finished with a 908 in the 54-hole tournament at Old Fort Golf Club, capping it off with a final-round 299. UALR shot a final-round 304 to finish at 913, while Middle Tennessee won the tournament at 886.

Anna Carling led ASU, finishing tied for fifth place with a combined 223 (74-74-75). Jennifer Welch finished with a final-round 73 to finish 13th with a 226. Jennifer Loiacano finished 18th with a 229 after a final round 77.

UALR’s Emelie Westrup finished with an 8-over-par 224 to finish tied for eighth after a final-round 76. Megan Vaughn and Malin Lundberg finished 13th and 18th. Both shot 74 while Vaughn finished with a 54-hole total of 226 and Lundberg at 229.

UAFS finishes fifth in Texas

Arkansas-Fort Smith’s men finished fifth at the Bruce Williams Memorial Invitational at the Dominion Club in San Antonio.

Arkansas-Fort Smith finished with a 54-hole total of 910 to finish 36 strokes behind champion Abilene Christian’s 874.

Ethan Adamson led Arkansas-Fort Smith with a seventh-place finish by shooting a 221, including a final-round 76. Abilene Christian’s Alex Carpenter (Little Rock) won the event with a 7-under-par 209 and shot a 73 in the final round.

SWIMMING AND DIVING Arkansas’ Naylor recognized by SEC

Arkansas sophomore Kesha Naylor has been named SEC diver of the week for her record-breaking performance against Florida on Thursday.

Naylor set the Arkansas school and natatorium records in the 3-meter dive, achieving a score of 352.8. She won the 3-meter competition by more than 48 points and broke her own school record of 348.6, set last season.

She also placed second in the 1-meter with a score of 284.55. Naylor was an SEC All-Freshman Team selection last season and also placed at the Canadian Nationals over the summer.
