Shelton said he ran toward the front of his house when the two men opened fire, hitting him in the upper left thigh, according to a Little Rock Police Department report. The would-be robbers then ran off and have not been arrested.

Shelton was taken to Baptist Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say they found a small baggie containing white powder in the area where Shelton ran, though the report does not indicate whether the suspected cocaine was tied to the incident.
