Eagle Tours

LAKE DARDANELLE STATE PARK — Lake Dardanelle State Park will offer free winter lake cruises at 3 p.m. Thursday and at 9 a.m. Friday to scout for American bald eagles. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly. Reservations are required. To sign up, call the visitors center at (479) 967-5516. Boarding will begin 15 minutes before the tour at the boat dock near the tournament weigh-in pavilion. In case of inclement weather, call one hour before tour time to check for cancellations.

Fall Bazaar

MAYFLOWER — The Mayflower United Methodist Women will hold their annual Fall Bazaar at 7 a.m. at the church on Arkansas 89, one block west of Arkansas 365, near the elementary school. The sale will include fried pies (cooked in peanut oil), cakes, cookies and breads, home-preserved jams and jellies, and pickles and relishes. There will also be Christmas gift wrapping, decorated boxes, ornaments and collectibles, books, small appliances, clothing and more. All proceeds will go to local mission work. Christmas Expo

GREENBRIER — The fourth annual Heaven’s Gift Christmas Expo will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greenbrier City Event Center. Vendors will sell products from home décor to food and crafts. Door prizes will be given away all day. Santa will be available for pictures from 10 a.m. to noon, and hot cocoa and cider will be served, all at no charge. Conway Symphony Orchestra Concert

CONWAY — The Conway Symphony Orchestra will perform its opening-night concert, Nordic Lights, at 7:30 p.m. in the Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas. MORRILTON — Morrilton High School will hold a Veterans Day ceremony to honor all veterans of the U.S. Armed Services at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 in H.B. White Auditorium. The main speaker will be Col. Tom Anderson of the Arkansas Air National Guard. Following the ceremony, lunch will be provided in the cafeteria. CONWAY — The Faulkner County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Activity Center of First Baptist Church. Jim Davidson will speak on the A Bookcase for Every Child Literacy Project. Davidson is the founder of the project. All retirees from any position in education are invited to attend.

Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre Auditions
