— MONDAY Trick-or-Treat ARKADELPHIA - Henderson State University’s annual trick-or-treat will be from 5:30-7 p.m.

in the Garrison Center on campus. Numerous campus groups and organizations will be set up throughout the center to hand out a variety of treats.

TODAY AND MONDAY Haunted House BENTON - Southwest Display, the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Boys & Girls Club of Saline County will open a haunted house from 6-11 p.m. today and Monday at 1216 River St. The experience will include oncoming trains, snakes, a slaughterhouse, a haunted swamp and a zombie graveyard. The cost is $10 per person.

MONDAY Movie Monday BENTON - All ages are invited to attend a family friendly movie, selected for ages 12 and under, at 4 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. For more information, call (501) 778-4766.

TUESDAY Diabetes Health Fair BENTON - Saline Memorial Hospital will hold a Diabetes Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon in the Saline Memorial Hospital Health Education Building. There will be free health screenings, educational presentations, and various vendors and giveaways. The event is open to the public.

String Ensemble Concert ARKADELPHIA - Ouachita Baptist University’s String Ensemble will perform its fall concert at 7 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. The ensemble is directed by Jir Shin Boey, assistant professor of music. The program will include J.S. Bach’s “Suite No. 1 in C, Overture,” W.A. Mozart’s “Divertimento in D, K. 136,”Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” and Gustav Holst’s “St. Paul’s Suite.” The recital is free and open to the public. Artists Submission Deadline HOT SPRINGS - Tuesday is the deadline for submission for the annual Handmade for the Holidays at the Art church, a fine crafts and arts festival, to be held Nov. 12 and 13. The Art church Studios in Hot Springs National Park needs artists and artisans for the event. WEDNESDAY Retired Federal Employees Meeting BENTON - National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1256 of Saline County will meet at 11 a.m. at Western Sizzlin. Gallery Walk HOT SPRINGS - Gallery 726 at 726 Central Ave. will feature wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery by Janet Donnangelo and trump l’oeil paintings by Deena Hunkler-Sanks on Fri day evening until 9 at the Gal lery Walk in downtown Hot Springs. SATURDAY Hosta and Shade Plant Society Meeting HOT SPRINGS - The Ouachita Hosta and Shade Plant Society will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave., for refreshments and visiting. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. The program will include Bob Byers’ presentation, “How the Project by the Garden Clubs Furthers the Master Plan.” Visitors are welcome.
