White County deputies caught a residential burglary suspect Monday morning in Bald Knob after a brief car chase.

Tanya Stephens, 28, of Judsonia was arrested on counts of fleeing, driving under the influence of drugs and driving on a suspended license. According to the report, Stephens was seen driving a stolen vehicle, which the victim reported had been backed out of his unopened garage Monday morning while he slept.

A deputy recognized the stolen vehicle traveling south on Highway 67/167, and told another deputy to stop it. Stephens led the deputies on a brief chase before pulling into a driveway, the report said. Deputies then arrested Stephens and transported her to the White County jail.

White County Public Information Officer Steve Hernandez said in an email that he expects Stephens will incur more charges.
